General Policies

a.

The Secretary General, Director General of Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune Model United Nations 2026, being the organizers of VIT Pune MUN 2026, may grant any exceptions to any of the below mentioned conference policies or any other general policies, without prior intimation, developed for the Eleventh Edition of VIT Pune MUN (hereafter referred to as ‘VPM’).

b.

VPM Secretariat is not liable for any erroneous interpretations or statements made by any persons, members or students who are not a part of the Secretariat of VPM 2026 regarding exceptions to fees or policies of the conference.

c.

VPM Secretariat reserves the right to amend the country/committee/portfolio matrix. Also, country and committee/portfolio allotments are at the sole discretion of VPM Secretariat.

Language & Diplomatic Courtesy

a.

English will be the official and working language of the conference. If a delegate wishes to present any document or part therein written in a language other than English, the chair may at their discretion permit the introduction of the document alongside a full English translation of the document to be distributed to the entirety of the committee.

b.

The exception to this rule applies with regards to the All India Political Parties Meet (AIPPM) Committee. AIPPM is a bi-lingual committee, wherein, the delegates are allowed to speak both in English and Hindi.

c.

During the sessions, the delegates are expected to exercise diplomatic courtesy when addressing members of the committee and the dais. The delegates are expected to address the other delegates in third person.

d.

Every delegate will be courteous and respectful to the Committee Staff and to other delegates. The Chair will immediately call to order any delegate who does not abide by this rule. Any delegate who feels that he or she is not being treated respectfully is encouraged to speak to the Chair, who will then take the appropriate action.

e.

The use of slang, informal expressions, slanderous remarks, or any discourteous language shall not be permitted under any circumstances.

f.

Interference in the proceedings of other committees is strictly prohibited.

Dress Code

a.

The Dress Code for the Conference is Western Business Formals/ Semi Formals on Day 1 and Day 3.

b.

The Dress Code for the Conference is Indian Formals for Day 2.

Attendance Policy

a.

All the delegates are expected to attend all the committee sessions, the Executive Board will be always maintaining the attendance record accordingly.

b.

It is mandatory to have 75% attendance for the participant to be eligible for an award or a participation certificate at the conclusion of the conference. Failure to adhere to this will lead to the disqualification of the participant from the award race.

Refund and Transfer Policy

a.

The conference fees once paid is strictly Non-Refundable under any circumstances whatsoever. If a delegate withdraws from the conference, there is no provision for a refund of the registration fees already paid.

b.

The delegate tickets purchased at VIT Pune MUN 2026 are non-transferrable in nature. Strict action will be taken against any person found impersonating another paid delegate and the impersonator will be debarred from further committee sessions.

Supplementary

a.

The Secretariat reserves the right to immediately expel delegates from the Conference due to unacceptable behavior. Serious infractions on the part of even a single delegate may require the dismissal, without refund, of the individual involved and his or her delegation from the Conference.

b.

If a delegate is dismissed from the conference, their delegation is automatically disqualified from Conference awards. The Secretariat reserves the right to define appropriate Conference behavior and is particularly sensitive to issues involving displays of disrespect to other delegates, members of the International Press, Secretariat, Conference Staff, Executive Board Members, other volunteers or any person connected with VIT Pune MUN 2026.

c.

Any photo, video and other audio/visual material taken and/or recorded during VPM featuring any delegate may be used and published for promotional purposes by the organizers of VIT Pune MUN 2026.

d.

The maximum age limit for attending VPM 2026 is 25 years.

e.

Accepting the policies online through registration is tantamount to a digital signature, agreeing to abide by the policies set above.

Accommodation, Travel and Logistics

a.

Accommodation will only be provided to the respective Delegates, no accompanying individual shall be permitted.

b.

Transportation shall be provided only between the official accommodation and the conference venue for the duration of the conference only and vice versa.

c.

No external or personal expenses shall be borne by the Secretariat, except for accommodation as specified above.

Rights of the Secretariat

a.

The VPM Secretariat reserves the right to change or amend or modify any of the conference policies mentioned in this document without any prior intimation.

b.

The decision of the Secretary General on all matters will be final and binding.
